Opening Narrative
Hello and welcome to another exciting radio program today on end times and prophecies and scriptures to live by... which is all about old-time gospel and worship music, praying for needs and preaching the Word of God....
And remember this radio programs Virtual Church for the Spiritual Unchurched is broadcast every Sunday at 7 am and 7 pm pacific time... and if you unfortunately miss it for whatever reason at any time, you can hear the program any time after that for 4 weeks...at my web site TimingRevelation.com
So, we continue today in the new series started a few weeks ago, based on my book “The Horizontal Chronology of the Four Gospels”...
And I did mention to you before that with this series begins the start of the 8th year of these radio programs Virtual Church for the Spiritual Unchurched.
As you already know In this series we look at the four gospels in a new light as they are presented by chronological events taking place within the four gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John which are presented separately in the Bible ...
It is all the same gospel.... but in chronological order of events taking place, which lets us hear or see side by side who reported and what each said on these events taking place in the gospels.
You will recall if you were with us in the last couple of weeks, there are 9 particular events that we are looking at – if you miss any program at any time, remember, they are replayed on my web site TimingRevelation.com for up to four weeks.
So the 9 events we're looking at in this series are:
#1—Pre-human existence of Christ
#2 – Pre-natal to Jesus's Incarnation
#3-- Birth and Childhood of Christ
#4-- Beginning of Jesus' ministry...
...Which we have covered up to here so far, including Jesus' returning into Galilee, where He healed the nobleman's son in Cana...
So this takes us now to the continuation of our events, still in Part 1 of event #5, Galilean ministry of Jesus, interestingly, where Jesus delivered His longest ministry in terms of time and events taking place...
Future events left to come:
#6-- Judean and Perean ministry of Jesus
#7-- Jesus' last week
#8-- Jesus' last 6 hours
#9-- From the Resurrection to the Ascension
And we will get right to it after this opening music, prayer and worship time...
Prayer
Praise God Doxology

Narrative 1
Alright let's pick up from last week's with the start of the Galilean ministry where Jesus healed the Nobleman's son... and now where Jesus enters His childhood home town of Nazareth...
So we pick up from Luke again and continue in chapter 4, from verse 16 to 31... and in my Bible the heading for this segment of Luke's write-up is “Jesus teaches in Nazareth”.
Verses 16 to 20
16, "And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read.
17, "And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written,
18, "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
19, "To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.
20, "And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him.
Wow, I can just see that picture, can you?
Verses 21 to 31
21, "And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.
22, "And all bare him witness, and wondered at the gracious words which proceeded out of his mouth. And they said, Is not this Joseph's son?
23, "And he said unto them, Ye will surely say unto me this proverb, Physician, heal thyself: whatsoever we have heard done in Capernaum, do also here in thy country.
24, "And he said, Verily I say unto you, No prophet is accepted in his own country.
25, "But I tell you of a truth, many widows were in Israel in the days of Elias, when the heaven was shut up three years and six months, when great famine was throughout all the land;
26, "But unto none of them was Elias sent, save unto Sarepta, a city of Sidon, unto a woman that was a widow.
27, "And many lepers were in Israel in the time of Eliseus the prophet; and none of them was cleansed, saving Naaman the Syrian.
28, "And all they in the synagogue, when they heard these things, were filled with wrath,
29, "And rose up, and thrust him out of the city, and led him unto the brow of the hill whereon their city was built, that they might cast him down headlong.
30, "But he passing through the midst of them went his way,
31, "And came down to Capernaum, a city of Galilee, and taught them on the sabbath days.
So the people had a hard time accepting the amazing claim of this thirty-year-old carpenter's son, whom they knew from childhood. Instead they were indignant and wanted to throw him off the mountain. But God supernaturally protected Him and He passed by them unhindered.

Narrative #2
Alright, so Matthew picks up right here with, Jesus' moves to Capernaum...
Let's read Matthew 4: verse 13 to 17:
13, "And leaving Nazareth, he came and dwelt in Capernaum, which is upon the sea coast, in the borders of Zabulon and Nephthalim:
14, "That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying,
15, "The land of Zabulon, and the land of Nephthalim, by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles;
16, "The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up.
17, "From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
And again, remember John the Baptist was preaching repentance and people were coming repenting and being baptized... I noted earlier that Jesus was picking up from where John the Baptist had left...
So next we see Jesus starting to call out his disciples...
In the next three scriptures written by Matthew, Mark and Luke, we read about four of them that Jesus calls out... let's read that:
So Matthew picks up on this in the next verses of chapter 4 that we were just reading:
verse 18 to 22:
18, "And Jesus, walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers.
19, "And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.
20, "And they straightway left their nets, and followed him.
21, "And going on from thence, he saw other two brethren, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in a ship with Zebedee their father, mending their nets; and he called them.
22, "And they immediately left the ship and their father, and followed him.
And so we also have Mark and Luke who reported on this event:
Let's read how Mark covered that, in chapter 1, verses 16 to 20:
16, "Now as he walked by the sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and Andrew his brother casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers.
17, "And Jesus said unto them, Come ye after me, and I will make you to become fishers of men.
18, "And straightway they forsook their nets, and followed him.
19, "And when he had gone a little farther thence, he saw James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, who also were in the ship mending their nets.
20, "And straightway he called them: and they left their father Zebedee in the ship with the hired servants, and went after him.
And Luke chapter 5, verses 1 to 11:
1, "And it came to pass, that, as the people pressed upon him to hear the word of God, he stood by the lake of Gennesaret,
2, "And saw two ships standing by the lake: but the fishermen were gone out of them, and were washing their nets.
3, "And he entered into one of the ships, which was Simon's, and prayed him that he would thrust out a little from the land. And he sat down, and taught the people out of the ship.
4, "Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught.
5, "And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net.
6, "And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake.
7, "And they beckoned unto their partners, which were in the other ship, that they should come and help them. And they came, and filled both the ships, so that they began to sink.
8, "When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus' knees, saying, Depart from me; for I am a sinful man, O Lord.
9, "For he was astonished, and all that were with him, at the draught of the fishes which they had taken:
10, "And so was also James, and John, the sons of Zebedee, which were partners with Simon. And Jesus said unto Simon, Fear not; from henceforth thou shalt catch men.
11, "And when they had brought their ships to land, they forsook all, and followed him.
As we can see, Dr Luke here tells us more details than the other gospel writers. Most of us had heard of this time when Jesus told them to drop the net on the other side, but it is interesting to see the place in time when this particular event took place, right here at the beginning of His ministry

Narrative #3
So next we come to the place where in Capernaum, Jesus healed the demoniac on a Sabbath day...
And this event is recorded by Mark and Luke...
Let's take a look at Mark, chapter 1, verses 21 – 28:
21, "And they went into Capernaum; and straightway on the sabbath day he entered into the synagogue, and taught.
22, "And they were astonished at his doctrine: for he taught them as one that had authority, and not as the scribes.
23, "And there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit; and he cried out,
24, "Saying, Let us alone; what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art, the Holy One of God.
25, "And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Hold thy peace, and come out of him.
26, "And when the unclean spirit had torn him, and cried with a loud voice, he came out of him.
27, "And they were all amazed, insomuch that they questioned among themselves, saying, What thing is this? what new doctrine is this? for with authority commandeth he even the unclean spirits, and they do obey him.
28, "And immediately his fame spread abroad throughout all the region round about Galilee.
Wow that is amazing... and of course most of us who have been Christians for a while remember reading this scripture before, but, I don't know, in this content following by event, it just comes out in a different dimension of understanding... so anyway let's move on....
And the next one is Luke, chapter 4, and we read from
verses 32 to 37:
32, "And they were astonished at his doctrine: for his word was with power.
33, "And in the synagogue there was a man, which had a spirit of an unclean devil, and cried out with a loud voice,
34, "Saying, Let us alone; what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art; the Holy One of God.
35, "And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Hold thy peace, and come out of him. And when the devil had thrown him in the midst, he came out of him, and hurt him not.
36, "And they were all amazed, and spake among themselves, saying, What a word is this! for with authority and power he commandeth the unclean spirits, and they come out.
37, "And the fame of him went out into every place of the country round about.
Both of these gospel writers describe this event similarly.
Let's continue, Jesus still in Capernaum...
Here we read about Peter's mother-in-law who was cured...
On this event, we have the testimonies of Matthew, Mark and Luke...
Let's read Matthew 8:14-17
14, "And when Jesus was come into Peter's house, he saw his wife's mother laid, and sick of a fever.
15, "And he touched her hand, and the fever left her: and she arose, and ministered unto them.
16, "When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick:
17, "That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.
Wow again, always amazing...
And, Mark chapter 1, verses 29 to 34:
29, "And forthwith, when they were come out of the synagogue, they entered into the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John.
30, "But Simon's wife's mother lay sick of a fever, and anon they tell him of her.
31, "And he came and took her by the hand, and lifted her up; and immediately the fever left her, and she ministered unto them.
32, "And at even, when the sun did set, they brought unto him all that were diseased, and them that were possessed with devils.
33, "And all the city was gathered together at the door.
34, "And he healed many that were sick of divers diseases, and cast out many devils; and suffered not the devils to speak, because they knew him.
Now, Luke 4:38-41
38, "And he arose out of the synagogue, and entered into Simon's house. And Simon's wife's mother was taken with a great fever; and they besought him for her.
39, "And he stood over her, and rebuked the fever; and it left her: and immediately she arose and ministered unto them.
40, "Now when the sun was setting, all they that had any sick with divers diseases brought them unto him; and he laid his hands on every one of them, and healed them.
41, "And devils also came out of many, crying out, and saying, Thou art Christ the Son of God. And he rebuking them suffered them not to speak: for they knew that he was Christ.
Now, a lot of people wonder why did Jesus forbid the devils to speak of Him being Christ. Well, there are several reasons for this, first Jesus had a mission and it had to be processed in God's timing. He alone could and would tell who He was in the right timing. Jesus came to do the Father's will and did exactly how and when to proceed in the development of His three-year ministry.
In "Got Question" web site, it says: "The veiling of Christ’s identity also had much to do with a concern for timing. As news about Him spread and the crowds grew larger, it became more difficult for Jesus to minister to individuals (Mark 1:44–45; 7:36; Matthew 9:30–31). There was also the matter of His enemies. Jesus told the demons to be quiet because He knew the ultimate revelation of who He was as God’s Son would lead to His death (Mark 2:20; 8:31)."
You can read more about this at https://www.gotquestions.org/demons-quiet-silent.html
Right now, Jesus was ministering the love and grace of God the father in proper sequence right up until the redemptive of the cross was to be accomplished by God the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Closing Narrative…
Wow, I would say that a lot of saints agree with the message of this song “Sinners Saved by Grace” by the Gaither vocal band... (see below).
Oh how wonderful to appreciate what Jesus has done in our lives to save us from sin by Grace... and how He continues to keep us by His on-going and unlimited Grace...
...that wonderful Grace that comes into our life the moment that we receive Him as for who He is -- the Saviour of mankind and of every individual like you and me personally...
... and this Jesus the Son of God who came to give His life for you and me is the same Jesus who's life we've been reading about in these series of programs right now, and who's death on the cross we will see as we go through the gospel story to where He gave Himself as the sacrificial Lamb of God that took the sin of the world...
...but right now, the question is:
...do you know this Jesus that we're talking about?. If you don't know the Lord...
...Just say this prayer, “Lord come into my heart, come into my life, I turn to you right now and ask for forgiveness, I repent of my sins and receive your work on the cross... I receive your gospel as it was delivered through your blood shed on the cross in my place, and I thank you, Amen...
Before I dismiss the service today, I want to read to you the Blessing that was read to the people of God in Numbers 6:24-26 which is the benediction from God to you today:
“The Lord bless thee, and keep thee: The Lord make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The Lord lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace."
I hope and pray that you will come back next Sunday at SpiritFM.ca, 7 am and 7 pm pacific time. And if you want to hear the service again at any time, you can go to my website at TimingRevelation.com, and click on the Radio Shows navigational tab along the left side. I encourage you to go to your Bible and read further on the scriptures that were given throughout the program today. And if you like these programs and you've been blessed, call or write the station and let them know... if you said the prayer and have accepted the Lord or you've been healed or touched in some way by the Holy Spirit, write to me on the contact form of this web site...
